Touchstone to Lead New Bath Building Project
Bath schools has hired Touchstone CPM, of Lima, to oversee construction of its new elementary school building.
Nine firms submitted information to be considered as construction manager of the project, Superintendent Dale Lewellen said. A building committee narrowed the group down to four. All four presented to the committee, and members ranked them.
Voters approved a bond issue for the new building in March. The school board previously hired Garmann Miller Architects and Engineers, of Minster. The building design phase should be completed by February, Lewellen said. Construction will begin in early spring 2013.
The building will be in line to get LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver certification.
